Classic MacOS funeral

Steve Jobs obviously thought of it as a joke when he decided to officially "bury" the classic Mac OS at the WWDC in 2002. A lot of people (including yours truly) didn't find it funny at all. In a way, a good part of what "defined a Macintosh" was buried that day.
