Winamp was the most popular MP3 player program for Windows before the venue of the mobile age when iTunes took over. Everybody who ever had this program can clearly remember the famous "Winamp — It really whips the llama's ass!" sample audio file that played upon first launch.
It is believed Winamp for Mac never made it past 0.7.x alpha for Mac OS 9, 0.8.x and up being compiled solely for Mac OS X.
